Artist Appreciation: Valerio Schiti
Hey guys from Planet-M. Today I'm going to be talking about one of my favourite comic book artist and that artist is Valerio Schiti.
I originally came across his work in the Marvel NOW run of New Avengers and All New All Different Marvel run of Guardians of The galaxy and at that point I was hooked by his imaginative and active art style. I know him from New Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, but before Marvel he was with many big publishers such as Valiant Comics with Quantum and Woody, IDW with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and once he got to Marvel he drew a Thor Title Journey into Mystery.
You can feel the movement in each drawing as if the art was leaping of the page, I've heard in the past that he has expressed interest in drawing Spider-Man and I hope he one day gets that chance as his art style would blend well with the fast paced movement of the character.
Valerio Schiti's work is one of the best that I've seen at Marvel at the moment and that is good because he is probably one of the best new talents working for the industry, he's given me hope in a time where I thought that Marvel was running low on good artists, but now I know the industry is in good hands with such a talented and ambitious artist being the first of a new age of comic book artists.
