Recommendation: Samurai Jack (The Original and the New Series)
Now then from Planet-M. Today I would like to talk about a cartoon I watched a lot back in childhood, a cartoon that didn't have much audio dialogue, but offered more than that in visual storytelling and genius animation, a cartoon that tells the story of a noble warrior and his quest to defeat his powerful enemy and return home, of course the cartoon I'm referring to is none other than Samurai Jack.
Samurai Jack was created and Genndy Tartakovsky who has also lent his talent to creating things like Dexters Laboratory and Star Wars The Clone Wars Mini-Series and has assisted with such shows like Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff girls and the pilot of Steven Universe.
The Animation:
Samurai Jack never really conformed to the regular constraints of television shows, in its visual aesthetic it was able to convey more of the story then the actual spoken dialogue and this could not be done without Tartakovsky's unique art style which allows him to create some of the most breath-taking settings for our hero to do battle, which can range from Ancient ruins, to alien cities and to the apocalyptic and most of all the surreal such as the black and white scenes below which utilises both black and white its advantage for a creative battle, as if it were a battle between light and dark.
The Story:
And the story is just perfect, It's basically the wondering warrior going through magic, aliens, demons and an immortal foe, while at the same time trying to return home. It is honestly the best as Jack travels all around the world, encountering many different people that he seeks to help, it truly shows the noble heart of the character.
Conclusion:
Samurai Jack is probably one of the best shows for anyone to watch, its the sort of thing that you can watch at any age and enjoy instantly especially with the release of Samurai Jack season 5 that will finish off the story once and for all I hope that anyone could watch this series as it is bound to be incredible. Thank You for Reading.
