Recommendation: KaptainKristain, The New Age Professor
Hey, Guys. I'm back for the new year with some more from Planet-M and let's just say I've got one hell of a channel for today, one that you should really check out. When I go on Youtube I usually watch comic based channels like Comic drake, Comics explained and Comicstorian (along with all of his other channels such as Mangastorian and Eligible Monster), but when I came across this channel it was one that I found by accident, I had clicked on it when I was looking for a comic documentary and frankly I'm all the better for it as I was able to learn so many things in media in such a short and entertaining time, the channel I am referring to is KaptainKristain.
He started his channel 9 Months ago with his first video essay called Superman: The Golden Age Of Animation which gives a clear explanation of Superman's cinematic history in animated form, how he influenced the medium for generations as well as Max Fleischer's involvement in the production as well as providing information on the how and why.
And after watching all his videos and I'm continuing to watch them. I have to say that this is a channel that gets my attention because he combines not just excellent effects with the images he uses, but he also goes into great detail with his work and that is something I appreciate, he makes his points clear and does the proper research to back it up.
Like in the title he's like a new age professor, he maintains a calm and confident demeanor as he gives his presentation and you can tell not from the quality of the video, but from the confidence in his voice that subjects like X-Men: Colour and Costumes, FLCL: Journey To Maturity and Calvin and Hobbes: Art Before Commerce are interesting subjects.
He shares his interest with everyone else through beautifully edited videos with great visual effects that accompany them, allowing fluid motion to amplify the information we are receiving.
KaptainKristain has only been on Youtube for more than 9 months and I can definitely say that this channel is one check out and no matter what the subject whether it be music or film or comics you will find it interesting, I never used to listen to Gorillaz or Childish Gambino, but after listening to these videos I was able to give it chance and expand my horizons to new forms of entertainment while at the same time learning something about it at the same time.
These Video Essays are very well thought out and you can tell that large amounts of work went into them and I can truly say that I can't wait to watch and learn from the next one, so please anyone who likes to learn, please look up and watch these videos.
Thank You for reading and it's good to be back. Happy New Year to all.
