Now the first issue starts with Wolverine (X23) and Angel (Warren) basically extreme skiing through the mountain in Vail, Colorado. As the story starts I feel that it is good that the relationship between the two is intact, as nothing major has been changed at the start of the issue, the rest of the x men such as Beast, Genesis (kid apocalypse), ice man and a few others are basically going around the world college road trip style doing whatever they can to help with their mutant abilities, at the start I was hooked by this first issue as it differs itself from the other x men titles.

The issue goes on to be more about Cyclops coming to terms with what is present counterpart has done and what is a major thing within the book and the other X books is that Cyclops is amusedly “dead” as a result of the inhumans basically killing off the mutants with terrigen mist. The rest of the book goes into the tones of self discovery, can we live in the here and now and do we have control over our lives when other people see us differently, I definitely recommend this book for any fan of the x men as it is a definite improvement from Bendis’s run.

Now for the where this book will take the x men in the next few years, with a storyline of these x men trying to find their place in the world, there are a lot of concepts to work with such as in the future one of them could give up on the mutant cause all together which is a storyline to work with, but that is rather small compared to size of the x men.

With the popularity that is spanning the movies the story lines that have been placed into the comic can be made into a story arc for the new mutants TV series in order to get more people involved with the comics, but this is Fox that we are talking about so that might not a possibility.

But with the x men apocalypse movie coming up and the kid apocalypse character on the team of this issues x men, their could be some kind of event to follow from the movie to better amplify interest in the team.
